We’re Moving!
If you haven’t heard, Anne & Arthur are moving! We are growing into a bigger space, still in Historic Downtown Hillsborough, North Carolina. This April 2026 we will be located at 117 West King Street.
Thanks to the generosity of Jim Parker, Sam Coleman and their associates, we have found a larger home where we can continue to grow and serve our community.
Since 1984, the space has been an extension of Dual Supply, a hardware store created by Wesley Woods and now operated by his sons. As community members, we are grateful for Dual Supply and the legacy they have built for our town. While they are consolidated, they remain a staple and a symbol of lasting local business. We are so excited to be neighbors, and to join the buzzing businesses on King Street.
We will be working soon to build out shelving, Sales Counters and a new Print Services counter! We look forward to expanding product lines that you love, and bringing in more opportunities for community engagement!
Yes, that means classes sometimes, but also private events, a doubled focus on arts for children, and special workshops. While we can’t be everything to everyone, we want to remain a hub of information to help you find just the right place for your art journey—Durham Arts Council, The ArtsCenter, Orange County Arts Commission, Passmore & Seymore Centers, Peel Gallery, and more!
Our “move in” date is April 1 (no joke!), so we will spend some time before and after that date being closed so we can pack, move, unpack and arrange. We expect to softly re-open as soon as we can, most likely Mid-April.
We thank you in advance for your patience as we pack every pencil and move into our new space! If you need to stock up, please do so during the month of March.
On April 24 during the Last Friday Art Walk we will host a BIG grand opening in the new space! Please come by and see what craziness we have created!
As for new products: we will continue to grow organically in the new space. This means purchasing product lines when it makes sense for our financial stability, and listening to what YOU want us to stock—so keep telling us!
